I have worked in the NHS for nearly 20 years and currently work locally at the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Atherleigh Park Hospital which is part of North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. I am an expert in the assessment and treatment of acute, severe, complex and chronic mental health conditions.
I am a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and have accreditation in General Adult and Rehabilitation Psychiatry. I have been accredited in the provision of rTMS treatment by the Clinical TMS Society (international) and the Neuromodulation Centre in Northampton.
I am passionate about delivering safe, high quality innovative treatments in mental health and believe that patients should have access to the latest evidence-based treatments to improve their choices.

Outside of work you can usually find me at Mottram Hall golf course trying to improve my handicap.
I currently work as a Consultant Psychiatrist at North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and been working in the field of Psychiatry since 2006. Working in a busy acute inpatient setting which deals with over 600 admissions a year, I have valuable experience in treating acute, complex and chronic mental health conditions. Having a specialist endorsement in Addiction Psychiatry has given me great insight in working with patients with substance misuses issues, smoking cessation, cocaine and nicotine addiction.
I’m particularly passionate about reviewing novel, up-to-date and effective research based treatments in the management of mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, PTSD and anorexia which directed me toward setting up TMS. I have actively involved myself in several quality improvement projects and a passionate Tutor/ educator for which I have been accredited with several clinical excellence awards.
I firmly believe in the efficacy of RTMS in treating several mental health and addiction disorders in a very safe , non-invasive and friendly environment at our Expert centre. I have been accredited in providing RTMS following training at clinical TMS society ( international) and the national centre of neuromodulation, Northampton, UK. If I’m not at work, I’m busy travelling as I have huge bucket list to sign off before I retire!
I have worked within mental health services for 10 years in various roles including; health care assistant, nurse in charge, deputy manager and community psychiatric nurse.
I am dedicated to improving the lives of people suffering from mental health illness and feel that providing treatment such as rTMS is the safest, most noninvasive treatment to aid recovery I have known throughout my career with astounding results.

I currently work as a Clinical Psychologist at North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. In my current role I provide clinical leadership to three busy primary care psychology services. I have extensive experience of working with people who present with symptoms including depression, anxiety, OCD and PTSD. Throughout my time in the NHS I have gained extensive experience in working with individuals who may have particular difficulties with substance misuse.
My clinical practice draws upon a range of therapeutic models and I firmly believe in adopting an integrative treatment approach. I have a particular interest in third wave CBT approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I believe in the ability of therapy to make positive changes to people’s lives. I work alongside people to support them to take an active role in therapy and to work towards their goals.
I am a Consultant Psychiatrist, Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and also holding a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine. I have specialized in the assessment and treatment of mental illness in Older Adults and in Dementia and Cognitive Impairment, including Younger Onset dementia.
I am a full time Consultant in North West Healthcare Boroughs Foundation NHS Trust since 2010. I am also a Postgraduate and undergraduate tutor and Principle Investigator in a clinical Research trial on medication for treatment of dementia.
I lead an assessment and treatment service for suspected or established Cognitive Impairment and Dementia. I have helped set up and transform the provision of Later Life and Memory Services in my catchment area, leading to thorough assessment, quick diagnosis, prompt treatment and excellent post diagnostic education and management.
In my outpatient clinics, I assess and treat a wide range of psychiatric illnesses in older adults including Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Affective Disorder, Schizophrenia, Delusional Disorder and Psychotic Disorders
I am experienced in the use of Mental Health Act and I regularly carry out capacity assessments including Lasting Power of Attorney, Testamentary Capacity and Court of protection assessments.
I am a Consultant Psychiatrist and have specialised in Psychiatry of Intellectual disabilities. I have vast experience of diagnosing and managing a range of mental illnesses and challenging behaviour across the adult population. My area of expertise also includes neuro-developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and associated co-morbidities. I am currently part of a team who is working on the development of post diagnostic services for autistic individuals.
My higher training was in Psychiatry of Intellectual disabilities which I completed in 2014 and since then have been working as a Consultant Psychiatrist. I completed Masters in Healthcare Ethics and Law in 2015 from The University of Manchester. Throughout this period, I have remained involved in teaching, training and research. My current research interest is diagnostic assessment of Autism in a population with Intellectual disabilities.
I have worked in Administration for over 15 years and alongside various NHS Mental Health Teams for the past 4 years. I have a passion for helping and supporting people and enjoy using my skills to make a positive impact. I am dedicated to ensuring the people I work with are organised, efficient and work in a safe environment which in turn helps deliver the best patient care possible.

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychological Rehabilitation. I have always had a great passion for the brain and its functioning, which is why I decided to continue my career in the field of Neuroscience. TMS is an innovative neuroscientific technique that has great potential in the mental health treatment, in which I deeply believe and I have already worked with in the past. Thanks to Expert TMS it is possible to offer our patients this new treatment. I am delighted to be part of the Expert TMS group, a professional group that truly cares about mental health and that puts patient’s needs at first place.
From leaving school and college I have always worked in a customer facing role as either a receptionist or in an administration position. I enjoy working within this role as I am very friendly, approachable and have a passion helping others .
